SAL takes over
The Singapore Academy of Law replaces MFA for authenticating Singapore documents.
About us
Every document we handle is someone’s next step — a new job in Dubai, a family visa in Doha, a company opening in Shanghai. We are the Singapore team that gets those papers stamped, sealed and accepted abroad, with our partner Notary Public and one contact from start to finish.
Our story
Document Legalisation Singapore is operated by ScalexBiz. This is how the service came about — and why it works the way it does.
Legalising one Singapore document used to mean a notary appointment, a queue at the SAL counter and a trip to an embassy, each with its own forms and hours. One wrong step meant starting again, often days before a visa date.
We started Document Legalisation Singapore to put the whole chain under one roof. Before anything is signed, we check where your document is going and which stamps it really needs, then quote every step in writing.
Today our associations with several Singapore Notary Publics, our SAL lodging and our embassy runs work as one process. People hand over a document once — in Singapore or by courier from abroad — and get it back ready to use.

Staying current
Much of the advice online is out of date. These are the changes that shape how we route Singapore documents today.
The Singapore Academy of Law replaces MFA for authenticating Singapore documents.
The Apostille Convention comes into force for Singapore.
An SAL apostille now replaces Chinese embassy legalisation.
Vietnam starts accepting apostilles for most documents.
Until then, Thailand still needs embassy legalisation.
Our role
Being clear about our role helps you plan with confidence.
Our notary associations
We did not build our service around a single notary. Over the years we have built working associations with many Notary Publics across Singapore, and we match each document to the one best suited to it.
A wide Singapore network
Several established Notary Publics work with us, so one is nearly always free for your date.
Senior, appointed lawyers
Each is a senior Singapore lawyer officially appointed as a Notary Public, signing under their own seal.
On record with SAL
Their signatures are held by the Singapore Academy of Law, so your certificate moves straight to the next stage.
We handle the booking
We pick the notary, brief them on your file and confirm the slot. You just bring your ID.
Where documents go
Each guide explains the route, the steps after arrival and the usual pitfalls for that country.
